HW Inc., a student-run summer entrepreneurship boot camp, is a fast-paced week of collaboration, innovation, and, most importantly, fun! 

 

Inc. isn’t just for entrepreneurs – skills like public speaking, creative problem-solving, and collaboration are invaluable in any field. Participants will come out with lessons that will stick with them for life.

 

By the end of the program, you will come up with an idea for your own start-up. Throughout Inc. week, you will be empowered to build your own entrepreneurial toolkit, meet like-minded students, and learn about the endless possibilities of entrepreneurship through the lens of an interactive curriculum. You’ll take a hands-on approach on everything from problem solving, to creating what we call a “Minimum Viable Product,” to carving your own path of creating a unique product. Whatever you choose, Inc. gives you the resources. Best of all, you get to do this with a team of your peers.

 

At HW Inc., we believe that learning is best done in a fun environment. Whether it's by organizing mystery scavenger hunts and escape rooms for team building or by using skits instead of lectures to teach new topics, fun is at the core of HW Inc.

 

On the last evening of Inc. we host Pitch Night, where participants present their start-up to their families and an alumni panel of venture capitalists and experienced entrepreneurs, who offer detailed, thoughtful advice on next steps. Think Shark Tank, but with more coffee, gong-banging, piñata smashing, and custom crepe bars!  

 

Inc. is run by students, for students, but what really makes the camp special are the many HW alumni who come as coaches and judges throughout the week, providing priceless insight and advice to campers.
